Races
Character Classes
There are six different races to start off with. Under each are specialties and favored classes. Specialties are skills or feats inherent to the race. Favored classes are not only classes that these races often have, but are also classes that they can have a specalized skill in. These races are:
- DECENDENT FROM HUMANS & BLOOD KIN •
Cerian and Therian
The first humans to settle in this universe started on Shikiran. Most are still there living in the Dome Cities or in the Underground. Some even live inside the Nero Net. The Humans were always fighting amongst themselves and everything else, so the “Blood Kin” decided that it would be wise for them to take over the Human’s blood line by changing their DNA and making them into more Blood Kin. The infestation went well, but there was something wrong. The Humans were just too alien to the universe known by the Blood Kin. They didn’t become full Kin, but different and strange. Then, the Humans turned, united against the Blood Kin. War raged for quite some time before the Blood Kin were no more. The extent of the infestation was unknown. Nearly every human was affected within a single generation. A few generations later, the humans were now the new Blood Kin.
War divided the truth of what the Blood Kin DNA was meant to be. The once humans divided themselves into groups. Those showing no physical sign of the infection were declared True Humans while everyone else was declared a Cerian.- Cerian •
The Cerians are still very human in nature, though more accepting then the Therians. It is in their appearance that they are considered alien. Of the same blood as the Therians, Cerians will often have some sort of physical mutation. It ranges from having claws or wings to something as simple as purple eyes. The thing with most Cerians though is their ability to survive anywhere. They don’t require air, food, or water, though they do function better with it. They can also be telepathic, and/or can scry, but only through touching bare skin with their hands.
They are slightly larger then the average human and have predominantly green, blue, purple, or red eyes. Their skin and hair can be any color.
Specialty: Alert and Strong Soul
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Warrior: Natural Weapon: your physical mutation or favored weapon is a natural weapon that you can use with ease and grace.
* Mage: Third Element: you have access to a third set of Elemental powers. - Therian •
Most Therians are still living their lives in near oblivien to the rest of the universe. There are few that welcome outsiders, that is, unless you count the Underground. But they don’t exist… or so it is said.
~True Humans~
Those Therians who call themselves True Humans are as close to human as you will find anywhere. They favor their own little world and their own little conflicts. Appearance is everything to a Therian and it is hard to break that perception.
They look human, but are slightly larger then the humans were.
Specialty: Track/Hunt and Weapon Proficiency
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Mechanic: Machine Affinity: with minimum study, you can make any machine work for you. (one machine per thread only)
* Pilot: Sense Extension: when flying or driving, you are acutely aware of what is going on around the vehicle and exactly how much space the vehicle takes up. This has a tendency to frighten other passengers who do not share this skill.
~Neuro Born~
Therians who where actually re-born in the Neuro Net are a little different then the Therians who call themselves True Humans. Most of the Neuro Born are aligned with the Underground. They don’t rely on what they see as much as what they have learned from their other senses.
They look human, but are slightly larger then the humans were. They also seem to have a sparkle in their eye, as if they know something you don’t.
Specialty: Sixth Sense and Sense Motive
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Rouge: Mimicry: you can replicate any process you have witnessed with a 50/50 change of success or failure. This includes mechanics, magic, etc.
* Mage: Understand Magic: You can sense and read the powers of any spell, even if you can not cast it, you know what it does

Arrian and Enyeans

Originally from the planet Arrow, they were found guilty of mass genocide of the Gragin and for attempting mass genocide against the Civians, even after the Civian Empire had fallen, and were sentenced into Exile from the newly formed Four Nations. They see themselves as superior to nearly all of the other races. Due to this they are a single minded and often violent people.
Most Arrian stand about 6 feet tall and weigh only about 100 lbs. Their look is elven, though the females are often taller then the males. Upon their shoulders is a pair of feathered wings. They have no hair, but a mane of feathers upon their heads. Arrians come in all colors and patterns.
Specialty: Foresight and Scry
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Bard: Suggestion: the ability to effect the mind or emotions of your listeners.
* Mage: Elemental Identification: the ability to identify any creatures or spell’s element. - Enyeans •
Native to the Enye, the black moon of the planet Shikiran, the Enyeans are a strange race. Early on in the human wars, the Enyeans sided with those who later called themselves the True Humans. They can live off of light, mostly the stellar winds, but they thrive off emotions: joy, kindness, pain, fear… Most are very social, thriving off of the interaction alone. There are some though that like to capture other beings and torture them in order to feed off the fear and pain. They don’t kill you, but leave an empty husk if you are over exposed to them. They are also not effected by pressure change, from the center of a planet or the vacuum of space, or by lack of air.
They can change their form to mimic any other race’s. More often then not, you can tell who they are by their eyes. Their eyes do not reflect light, no matter what they look like. Some have said their eyes are soulless or dead. They consume the light that touches them and often appear very dark, though some have more control over this then others.
Specialty: Polymorph/Shape-shifter
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Rouge: Unnoticed: People can see you, it just doesn’t matter unless you do something to effect them directly. This also works over recordings.
* Shaman: Magical Identification: the ability to identify other spell casters and the ability to tell when a spell is in use.

Ganasher and Kila
- Ganasher •
Ganashers are the children of Isstar. She created them shortly after her recovery from being awakened and before the Dirano Kay left the planet. These creatures are built for speed, most traveling about 100mph at a full run. Even a slight misstep can be fatal. There are no fatalities on Isstar due to the planet’s reaction to the Ganasher, but there has been on other planets and on ships. They have an actual language that they share with each other and Isstar (and it can be understood by other planets and stars if they are bothering to listen) that is nearly imposable to do without the proper vocalization organ. This organ stretches from directly under the Ganashers chin and along their entire underside to the base of their tail. It requires no air to use but vibrates upon a mental command. They can also hear nearly everything and are capable of mimicking any sound they can hear. It is also imposable for their hearing to ever be damaged. There are no bones in their ears but a series of membranes that open and close nearly automatically. This strange feat also makes it possible, though no very useful, for a Ganasher to breath or even drink through their ears. (No Ganasher is Deaf or Hard of Hearing.)
Ganashers appear at first to be raptors (think velociraptor with a smaller head and five fairly even sized fingers or toes on their hands and feet). They are in fact mammals that lay eggs. They are covered in short fur that grows longer in cold claimants. They stand somewhere between 2-8 feet tall depending on the build. There are three builds of Ganasher.
~Phren~ or Guardians.
Guardians are often paired up with Cerian law keepers and patrol the planet. These are the tallest and strongest of the Ganashers. Most stand 7-8 feet tall and are many colors. They will often have different patterns, but the colors are all very close to each other, giving the appearance of a solid color. They normally travel at an easy trot of 25mph but can run up to an average of 135mph.
~Gana~ or Commoners.
These Ganashers are the most common. They stand between 4-6 feet tall, though some are a little taller or shorter. They come in all colors and have the largest variation of colors. Most Gana will run the average of 100mph.
~Cyri~ or Sprinters.
Sprinters are a message system that has very little restrictions. These tiny Ganashers stand only 2-3 feet tall and never grow any larger. It is hard to tell what color a Cyri actually is. They are the most heavily patterned of the Ganashers and often clash with themselves. When they are up to full speed, they can outrun most of the other Ganashers. Their average speed is 200mph; though they are also the shortest lived and spend most of their time sleeping.
Specialty: Agile and Speed
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Bard: Sonic Sense: the ability to use echolocation and tremor sense to see in the dark and under the ground
* Shaman: Contact Isstar: the ability to ask the planet itself up to three questions. If she knows the answer, she will tell you. - Kila •
The Kila are native to the Rainforests of Shikiran. Their society is mostly status based and those that don’t fit into the categories that they know confuses and frustrates them. The most powerful of the Kila is the Koula or Divine Ruler, of which there are actually 15.
Under each Koula are nine Latu or Elite who are the most powerful of the Generals.
Below the Latu are the Tuyah or Generals. This number varies some and is based upon skills and specialization.
Under the Tuyah are the Yahni or Captain. Most Yahni are very specialized and highly trained.
Under the Yahni are the Nisy. Nisy’s are the average worker/soldier and have some sort of specialization.
The only other actual rank is the Sykou. Sykou are Divine Servants. They include anyone with magical skills, specifically medics, and can be combined with any of the other ranks other then the Koula, who already works with the Divine, or Kou.
There are many that have no rank, the comman Kila and those shunned from society.
Commoners are simply called the Ki, while those shunned are called Neju or The Marked. They are welcome to stay as servants under the same Koula, though some run away before they are marked and have been known to gain ranks under a different Koula.
Think Centaur with a long tail and the tendency for gem-like growths to actually form on their skin as they learn new skills. Kila stand somewhere between 6-8 feet tall, with the females slightly shorter then the males. They are covered mostly in sort fur that grows longer in cold weather. They are primarily black, white, some shade of gray or brown, or any darker shade of red or blue.
Specialty: Endurance and Animal Infinity
Favored Classes: (if you pick one you get a specialized skill)
* Warrior: Natural Weapon: Warriors have been trained to use their body as a weapon and any weapon they wield is simply an extension of their body.
* Healer: Renew: The way a Kila heals is to actually reverse time for both themselves and the injured member to before the injury was sustained. The effect of this is strange as most medics tend to grow younger instead of older. It takes over half a lifetime for a Kila to become a medic, but a good medic can easily gain that time back.
